Council of Department Chairs
Present: Richard Behl, Curtis Bennett, Andreas Bill, Chris Brazier, Tangan Gao, Lisa Martin-Hansen, Kris Slowinski, Barbara Taylor, Dessie Underwood, Henry Wu, Margaret Karteron, and CNSM student representatives Amy Chan and Kaleb Lee.

Dr. Slowinski presents the College's HVDI proposals for various needs in the College to our student representatives for consultation. - SEF presentation (9:50am)

- Operations updates/announcements
- This year our university's Putnam undergraduate mathematics competition team is ranked 46th nationally among 568 institutions and our three students Lemuel Li, Kexin Fu and Nathaniel Morrison are ranked 572nd, 760th and 866th among 4,623 participants.
- Math Day at the Beach (local high school math competition), 9am-3pm, Saturday, March 16, 2019, USU Ballroom.
- College's Open House featuring Sharks at the Beach (see Upcoming Dates below).
- Update on commencement banners.
- Facility issues: Call 5-help. If the issues are urgent, please also contact Barbara Taylor for quick follow-ups.
- Crime data collection (stolen or missing items): The college needs to designate a person to collect and report the data to Office of Equity and Diversity. This is related to the Clery Act in EO 1107.
