- Innovation Challenge (Wade Martin: time certain 10:40)

- Sunstone Innovation Challenge at CSULB
- Annual business plan competition where student teams develop an innovative product, service, or technology and compete for $50,000 in cash and in-kind services.
- First place team gets $15,000 in cash; second place team gets $10,000 in cash.
- Rubric for competition criteria is on the website above.
- Students are able to bring just the idea to the competition. Over the course of the competition, the idea will be fleshed out with the help of other resources.
- Challenge spans Fall and Spring semester with set due dates and events on a timeline.
- The Apostle Incubator is a Tuesday evening event where business ideas are evaluated to help with team building and developing a viable product.
- Chairs please ask faculty to share this challenge with their students; get the news out to the students and encourage participation.

- Seeking clarifications from leaders on additional employment vs. stipend classifications; Leader stipends will ideally be submitted by Friday.
- Department CARES money payment will be the next round.
- The College needs a more detailed description of what each person is doing.
- Virtual Phone
- Cancelling the desktop phone and switching to a virtual phone does not eliminate any cost.
- If you have a desk phone already, the virtual phone will be no charge.
- You will get a 562-985- number if you get a virtual phone, but you can continue to give out your desktop phone number.
- There will only be one voicemail box for both your desktop phone and your virtual phone.
- IT plans to roll this out in mid-October.

- Feedback Discussion:
- One day or Multi-day?
- “Flash Talks” (pre-recorded short talks/presentations; three minutes at the most) followed by planned panel/session.
- Everyone should do a poster, but “flash talks” are optional but encouraged.
- Consider doing a short PowerPoint in addition to the poster.
