Wellness & Mental Health
Project Resilience Student Team!
Our Peer Mentors in Project Resilience are dedicated AAPI students at CSULB who offer culturally competent guidance and support to their peers. Through one-on-one mentorship, they foster a sense of belonging, promote mental wellness, and help fellow students navigate challenges unique to their experiences. Peer Mentors work to de-stigmatize mental health, connect mentees with resources, and create a safe space for growth and connection within the AAPI community.
Meet our Student Assistant Team for the '24-'25 school year:
Peer Mentees
Project Resilience offers a year-long peer mentorship program for any undergraduate, Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) identifying students. The mentorship aims to provide support through academic and wellness support services. Mentees will be paired with fellow CSULB students as peer mentors to guide them through college and the various resources provided on campus while also creating a community. Meetings are often hosted in our office at FO5-217.
Project Resilience strives to build and encourage mental and physical wellness to our AAPI students through different programs and activities for students to participate in. Some activities include rock climbing, visits to the Japanese Garden, yoga and our peer mentor/mentee program that we offer!
CAPS Drop In Spaces - Sticky Rice at The Beach
In partnership with CAPS, Project Resilience Mentors help out with Sticky Rice! This is a drop in space for AAPI identifying students to bond and do activities such as arts and crafts, playing games, and socializing. It is every Tuesday from 12pm-1pm at USU 307. We often have a variety of snacks so please come by and get to know one another!
