First-Year Learning Community
Welcome to the Beach! CSULB Project Resilience offers a comprehensive student support program for Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) and low-income students transitioning from high school to foster a transformational university experience. Our Learning Community is partnered with Beach XP; and allows you to connect with other incoming first-year students!
What does this mean?
The Project Resilience learning community is designed to strengthen Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) identity exploration and understanding and will offer the following:
- First-year students can enroll in two required General Education classes together (fulfills A2 and F requirement)
- Opportunities to build friendships and attend campus events with free food
- Specialized support and guidance from Project Resilience staff and peer mentors.
- Academic advising with ATLAS, our College of Liberal Arts Advising Center.
