P.O.S.T. Management Seminar

The 104-hour mandated Management Course is designed to assist supervisors transitioning to middle managers (generally the position of Lieutenant) and must be completed within 12 months of promoting or being appointed to a middle management position.

Registration 

This course is for peace officers promoted, appointed, or transferred to a middle management position.  An officer who will be appointed within 12 months to a middle management position or an officer who is assigned to a first-level supervisory position may attend a Management Course, if authorized by the department head by letter or email. Completion of the Supervisory Course is a prerequisite to attending the Management Course.  Because classes fill up quickly, we strongly encourage registering as soon possible. College Credit

As of January 1, 2015 California State University, Long Beach is offering 6 units of college credit upon completion of the POST Management Course.

Starting in September 2018, the POST Management Course is eligible for Graduate level credit.  More information will be available in class.
