Liberal Studies Freshmen Advising Workshop

Published on August 28, 2020

All First-Year Freshmen at CSULB attend "Mandatory Freshmen Advising" with their Major/College Advisors in their first and second semester.  Enrollment Services places a registration hold on all first-year freshmen and sends email notifications of this requirement. To have this hold removed and move forward in studies, students must complete their college advising requirement. Emailed directions and links are sent to students regarding registration for their Workshop.

Fall 2020 Freshmen Mandatory Advising (FMA) Workshops will be held online.

Focus Points of First-Year Advising:

  • Program Overview for Liberal Studies & Declaring a Major (MSDR)
  • Campus Resources & Navigation
  • Academic Online Resources (E-Advising Tools)
  • University Policies and Procedures
  • Class Recommendations for Upcoming Terms and more!

If you would like to request accommodations, please contact the Bob Murphy Access Center at least 72 hours in advance before the event at 562.985.5401 or bmac@csulb.edu
