Global Accessibility Awareness Day - May 2

Dear Campus Community,

We are committed to providing all of our constituents the equal access to our educational programs and services. Students with physical, psychological, and/or learning challenges receive designated support from the professional staff in our Bob Murphy Access Center (BMAC). The Accessible Instructional Materials (AIM) Center provides assistive technology support services for students and also furnishes accessibility training for faculty and staff. Course content builders throughout our campus are equipped with the tools and knowledge to build content with accessibility and universal design in mind.

In support for the Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD), CSULB will host an accessibility awareness booth by the University Bookstore on Thursday, May 2, beginning at 10am. The goal is to raise the awareness of what we have already done and what we could do in the future to help students who face barriers. A team associated with the CSULB Accessibility Technology Initiative (ATI) will be there to provide information and consultations, and demonstrate assistive technologies and related services.

I encourage you to stop by to learn more and engage in the conversation.
