Graduate Student Research & Awards
There are several award and research opportunities for graduate students in the College of Education.
The purpose is to showcase excellence in scholarly research, and highlight creative activity conducted by CSULB undergraduate and graduate students. The student research will feature oral presentations to an audience of fellow students and a jury of distinguished faculty. Up to 10 CSULB students are selected to participate in annual CSU system-wide student research competition. Please visit the Student Research Competition website for additional information.
The College of Education Center for Evaluation and Educational Effectiveness (CEEE) offers Research Consultants for Quantitative or Qualitative research help. Students may schedule an appointment with a consultant by emailing ced-edeffectiveness@csulb.edu.
The Graduate Dean’s List recognizes graduate students in the College who demonstrate significant academic merit, leadership, and scholarly activity. Graduate students are eligible if they are completing their graduate program in the year that they are nominated. Award is nominated by faculty and is due in early Spring.
The Outstanding Graduate Award recognizes an outstanding graduate student in the College who demonstrate significant academic merit, leadership, and scholarly activity. Graduate students are eligible if they are completing their program in the year they are nominated. Award is nominated by faculty and are due in early Spring.
The College of Education’s Outstanding Thesis Award honors the most outstanding thesis within the College, selected by a faculty review committee. The award recipient is honored at the College of Education awards reception and highlighted during the commencement ceremony. Thesis students may self-nominate and are due in early Spring.
