Lidiana Portales Blair
Lidiana Portales Blair is the coordinator of the Urban Dual Credential Program. She is also a lecturer in the Liberal Studies department and a university supervisor for student teachers.
Dr. Portales Blair earned an Ed.D. through the CSULB Educational Leadership Doctorate program. She completed her B.A. at the University of Southern California and M.Ed. at UC Santa Barbara. She holds a multiple subject credential with a bilingual authorization from UC Santa Barbara.
Dr. Portales Blair began her teaching career as a dual-immersion elementary teacher in Santa Barbara. She then moved to Philadelphia and taught in elementary schools in West Philadelphia. Upon returning to California, she worked in schools in South Los Angeles and Compton as a curriculum specialist, focusing on English learner programs, and as an instructional coach, coaching beginning teachers and conducting professional development. She joined CSULB in 2017 as a lecturer and university supervisor.
