Alumna of CED’s MSCP & Educational Administration MA Program, Dr. Freda Rossi, Appointed to Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District

College of Education alumna, Dr. Freda Rossi (Multiple Subject Teaching Credential & MA Educational Administration), was recently appointed to the Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District (SMMUSD) as the new Family Engagement Coordinator. In her new capacity, Dr. Rossi will oversee the new SMMUSD Family Engagement Network which provides guidance to district schools on increasing student academic success, as well as college and career readiness.

An educator for over 20 years, Dr. Rossi has worked in K-12 school districts and universities serving in various positions including, professor, instructional services director, English Learner and Bilingual Program Manager, elementary school principal, literacy coach, and dual immersion teacher. Currently, Dr. Rossi is an educational leadership consultant and HeartMath coach.
