American Indian Student Services
The university has a tradition of commitment to American Indians dating back to the fall of 1968 when several American Indian students were specifically recruited to Long Beach to begin classes.
The Lois J. Swanson Leadership Resource Center (LRC) is a collaborative effort to develop students as effective leaders for social change. The LRC is home to two leadership development certificate programs: The Leadership Academy & The Emerging Leaders Certificate Program.
Students who are selected by the SLD Student Academic Travel Committee will receive limited funding to enhance their educational experience by virtually presenting at professional conferences and events. Funding may be used for conference registration and membership fees only.
Leadership at the Beach is a one-day leadership event that is open to all CSULB students at all levels. Its mission is to provide CSULB students an opportunity to develop and apply their strengths into becoming great leaders.
