2024 Black Alumni Scholarship Gala
Thank you all so much for your attendance at our 4th annual Black Alumni Scholarship Gala. Your presence was invaluable as we sought to celebrate this year’s esteemed community leaders and raise funds to support our students. Our gala, Legacies in Leadership, would not have been a success without your encouragement, investment, and promotion. Thanks to your generous contributions we have been able to give out over 20 scholarships this year to students in need and will provide many more in the future. We look forward to next year and hope to see each of you again! If you would like to view any images from the event, please visit the links below.
We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Jerome Thomas Photography and Cherise Jackson for their generous donation of time and talent.
If you were able to attend the gala, please complete the following survey.
Date: Sunday, May 05, 2024
Time: 4pm – 7:45pm
Location: Capenter Performing Arts Center (Map)
The Richardson and Karen Carpenter Performing Arts Center is home to California State University, Long Beach's artistic, educational, and cultural experiences. The center was named after CSULB alumni, Richard and Karen Carpenter, a pop music duo whose awards are displayed throughout the walls of the exhibit. More than 200 events are hosted at the center each year, and Black Scholars is more than grateful to have celebrated the excellence of our community in this monumental campus event space.
