Remediation Services
BMA-ATP offers document remediation and accessibility check services for our campus partners. Turnaround times vary by the volume of requests and complexity of the document.
Accepted files:
- Word
- PowerPoint
Please send documents to bmac-atp@csulb.edu
What we do not remediate:
- Social media posts: Visit CSULB: Social Media Accessibility for best practices.
- Video captioning: The AIM Center works collaborates with ATS to caption videos for faculty with a deaf or hard of hearing student enrolled in their course. A captioning guide is available to self-caption videos uploaded on BeachBoard, YouTube, and Microsoft Stream. Please also see CSULB: Audio and Video Accessibility for more information.
Faculty:
The Accessible Technology Program does not remediate documents for faculty unless there is a registered BMAC student with qualifying disabilities enrolled in the course, needing that accommodation.
Additional Resources:
- The Accessible Technology Program offers Canvas accessibility courses for Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and PDF. We highly encourage enrolling in these courses to learn about the basics of document accessibility. To register, please fill out Canvas Accessibility Course Enrollment Form.
- The Accessible Technology Program has an Accessibility Resource with guides and resources on how to make your content accessible.
