Guaranteed Ride Home
CSULB employees who travel to campus by car can be hesitant to switching to sustainable transportation modes due to fears of being stranded in the event of an emergency or illness.
The Guaranteed Ride Home (GRH) program was designed to address these concerns by providing faculty and staff who rideshare to work with complimentary rides home in the event of a qualified emergency. GRH is a free benefit provided to commuters who choose to carpool, vanpool, take public transit, bicycle, or walk to campus, and log a trip that day in BeachGO.
If you are without a car and experience a valid emergency, the GRH Program will cover your ride expenses, up to 2 times per fiscal year (July 1-June 30).
Requesting a GRH on BeachGO
The GRH Dispatch option on BeachGO is only available to faculty and staff members Monday through Friday between 8 AM and 4:30 PM (Pacific Time) and must be requested during these hours. Scheduled pick-up time may be outside of this designated timeframe.
Steps: 1. Navigate to the Featured Rewards section of the BeachGO app.
2. Claim the reward and follow the prompts.
