Description/Summary:
The Master of Arts in Education, Option in Mathematics Education, is a 30-36 unit program designed for teachers seeking to enhance their knowledge and skills in mathematics content and pedagogy. Candidates investigate research-based mathematics teaching and learning with a focus on developing their ability to assess the learnings needs of diverse students, support students in achieving mathematics proficiency, integrate technology in mathematics instruction, and develop a balanced mathematics instructional program that focuses on conceptual understanding, procedural fluency, and problem solving.
