    1. Resuming from line 830.
    2. Most changes discussed in side-by-side document comments, larger discussions mentioned in minutes.
    3. Discussion of removing redundant text on cultural taxation that we added to other parts.
    4. Go through a second time and clear up any lingering discussions.
    5. Resolved to require dean approval for RTP committees spending less than full class period in observation.
      1. 1 abstention
    6. Repetitive text throughout policy was removed.
    7. Further discussion on reporting research buy-out.
    8. Entire Document is Approved Unanimously for College Review
  5. Discussion: First Year Experience Task Force report & Senate Call for Faculty Council feedback - see highlighted section on the linked email from Academic Senate Chair Neil Hultgren (due 12/18/2024)
    1. Carter and Slowinski discuss the idea of a first-year all-college course.
    2. Benefits would be to instill a connection with the campus and community in students, would require many sections and many instructors.
    3. Slowinksi: this would be a lot more work for us and we're already overworked.
    4. Martin: experience at previous school was very good for students.
    5. Move to have Carter send out a draft.
