CNSM College Council
Attendance: Ashley Carter, Curtis Bennett, Amy Ricketts, Raisa Hernandez-Pacheco, Deepali Bhandari, Jeffrey Pair, Lihan Wang, Ben Hagedorn, Margaret Karteron

- Approval / Additions to Agenda – Added ratings to item c
- Approval of Minutes from 10/4/2024
- Move to take names out of the body of the minutes unless absolutely necessary. Agreed upon.
- Minutes approved with this change.
- College RTP Policy Revision Updates
- Current Working Version – With all latest updates
- Service, continued: Amy and Deepali
- Qualtrics survey qualitatively analysis shared with the committee.
- Documenting suggestions: (many suggestions but create more labor for those we are trying to help.)
- One suggestion that we include community building and informal
- One person suggested make equity and justice more explicit.
- Make explicit throughout our RTP document (in all three sections) that justice is important.
- List of examples given
- Long discussion about this item.
- Suggestion that we use the survey to make recommendations on where it goes in the full RTP document. In/before our next meeting (1) we (all members) will check all 3 sections to make sure that justice is included, (2) the Service group will make recommendations informed by the survey. We ask that individual areas send an email by Monday 10/21 to the committee.
- Qualtrics survey qualitatively analysis shared with the committee.
- Ratings – Tangan Gao presented to the committee that CLA, COE, (and potentially CHHS) do not require ratings of Excellence, Competence, and Deficient, and he suggested that we eliminate the rankings/ratings. College of Education uses rankings.
- Motion that this not be considered this year, but ask next year's College Council consider this idea. – Motion passed.

- Other CSU Science colleges are experiencing extreme budget issues.
- University is discussing how to improve SPOT responses.
- Space is becoming an issue and staff who are on a >= 2 day a week telecommute may soon be asked to hotel their space.
