Receiving your Financial Aid at CSULB
To know if you are eligible for any financial aid, you must have a CA Dream Act application submitted. We highly advise that you apply by the March 2nd deadline to ensure you are considered for financial aid.
Steps to getting aid:
- Submit your CA Dream Act Application
- Confirm you GPA Verification has been submitted
- You can review the status of your WebGrants 4 Students on the My Grant Info website to confirm all necessary documents have been submitted.
- Please contact us if you are having issues with this step.
- Confirm that CSULB is listed on your WebGrants 4 Students account.
- If CSULB is not listed, please change the school to ensure we receive your application.
- If you are having issues changing the school contact CSAC toll free at (888) 224-7268.
- Complete missing documents (if applicable)
- Once you are admitted to CSULB, the Office of Financial Aid will send you an email if additional information is required from you.
- Make sure your non-resident tuition exemption has been approved.
- If notified of needed documents, submit them by the shared deadlines. Please note that transfer students must submit high school transcripts if they did not complete three years of full-time attendance at their community college.
- Accept your Financial Aid Offer
- If you are admitted for Spring: Financial aid offers are typically posted late October to early November, assuming all missing items are complete.
- If you are admitted for Fall: Financial aid offers can be posted as early as the end of March.
Tip: Monitor your CSULB email and your Student Portal for updates. The Financial Aid office will contact you via email and place a To-Do List item if they need additional documents from you.
