Dr. Daisy D. Alfaro is the Assistant Director of the CSULB College of Education Assessment and Accreditation Office (AAO). She leads the college’s accreditation, assessment, and reporting efforts to drive data-driven decision-making and continuous program improvement. Prior to CSULB, she held positions at Compton College, Families in Schools non-profit, and was the founding program coordinator and faculty member of the Ed.D. in Higher Education at Cal State LA. She earned a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies in Higher Education from the University of Washington.

Ryan’s responsibilities include survey administration, test score reporting, and analyzing all kinds of data for the college. Prior to joining the AAO, Ryan worked as a high school teacher and a contractor for an education-based non-profit. Ryan earned an M.A. Ed. in Social and Cultural Analysis of Education from CSULB, just prior to the program’s name change to Equity, Education, and Social Justice.

Dimond Garcia

Major: Health Science, Community Health Education
Career Interest: Health Education Specialist
Dimond is the Research Assistant for the Sense of Belonging Project, where she helps gather and analyze data from College of Education students to measure and monitor how their sense of belonging within the CED affects their academic engagement and success. Dimond has helped develop the Pulse Surveys to obtain sense of belonging data, and from that data, feedback was received that have led to great responses from the CED.
Victoria Tran

Position: Student Assistant
Major: M.S. Information Systems
Career Interest: Data Scientist
The role of Victoria as the student assistant is to manage and analyze data to produce results that can be used to improve student engagement and success in CED. Victoria also provides support to other student assistants in the office on various projects to maintain collaboration on those projects and maximize good results.
Christian Ndaye
Class of 2025
Position: Student Assistant
Major: MS Computer Science
Career Interest: Software Engineering
Christian's role involves maintaining and updating a landing page, ensuring its functionality and visual appeal, while also creating and managing SQL databases for storing large datasets efficiently. He manages and organizes the data within the databases by importing data from CSV files into database, optimizing database performance, and ensuring data is backed up when new data are generated. Christian collaborates with team members to meet project requirements and deadlines, providing troubleshooting and support for the landing page and database by providing guidance to team members on how to use the systems and interact with data effectively.
