Beach Spring Day of Giving raises funds to support students
Cal State Long Beach wrapped up its successful annual Beach Spring Day of Giving on Wednesday, raising more than $115,000 in just 24 hours.
Beach Spring Day of Giving’s focus was expanding programs and internships to further Beach students’ impact on California’s future workforce, one of the priorities of the university’s No Barriers comprehensive fundraising campaign.
Almost 400 donors – alumni, friends, and the campus and local community – stepped up to make a difference in the lives of students at The Beach.
“Beach Spring Day of Giving was another opportunity for both our campus and Beach family to come together and support our students,” said Vice President of University Relations and Development Dan Montoya. “With a focus on Shaping California's Future Workforce, funds raised will help us open doors for students and launch future global leaders. Thank you to our Long Beach community for continuing to support and champion our students.”
