Supporters show their love of CSULB during Beach Spring Day of Giving
Cal State Long Beach concluded its annual Beach Spring Day of Giving on Thursday, raising $211,304, surpassing the total of the campaign’s previous years.
Within the April 9-10 period, 317 donors — alumni, friends and the campus and local community — stepped up to make a difference in the lives of students at The Beach.
Contributions from this year’s campaign will strengthen key initiatives across campus, including essential tutoring and mentoring programs, the Student Emergency Fund — which provides crucial assistance to students facing unexpected challenges — as well as alumni programs to ensure that Beach graduates stay connected to (and supported by) their alma mater as they continue their journeys.
"I’m deeply grateful to everyone who participated in the Beach Spring Day of Giving. The annual event not only enriches and empowers our students’ lives, but it also unites our community," said Dan Montoya, vice president of University Relations and Development at CSULB. "The impact on CSULB is profound. Every single contribution supports our mission and lays a strong foundation for generations to come."
