The Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Community Engagement Council
Mission
The Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Community Engagment Council is a partnership of alumni, students, and faculty working together to strategically and intentionally promote a culture of anti-racism and inclusivity within the Department of Physical Therapy and health equity within our community and profession.
Goals
- Promote a consistent culture of inclusivity, belonging, and anti-racism among faculty, staff, and students.
- Promote the recruitment, retention, mentorship, and advancement of a diverse faculty, staff, and student body.
- Advance opportunities for community engagement and outreach to promote social equity in our local and global community.
- Prepare physical therapists to provide exceptional care for patients of all identities, experiences, backgrounds, and perspectives.
