The Undergraduate Research Opportunities Center (UROC) and the College of Science have created the Course-based Undergraduate Research Experience (CURE) Faculty Fellows Program as part of the Department of Education, Hispanic-Serving Institution (HSI) Division grant under award number P217A170213. The goal of the CURE Faculty Fellows Program is to increase course-based research experiences, hands-on learning, and career preparation throughout the curriculum. The Undergraduate Research Opportunities Center (UROC) at California State University, Monterey Bay (CSUMB) engages students of all majors in undergraduate research to build students’ educational ownership, intellectual vibrancy, and scholarly identity. We achieve this through mentored undergraduate research; rigorous, authentic, and calibrated scholarly activities; and the development of social capital. CSU Northridge
The Attract, Inspire, Mentor, and Support Students (AIMS2) Program is a collaborative project led by the College of Engineering and Computer Science (CECS) at California State University, Northridge (CSUN), in partnership with four community colleges: Glendale Community College, College of the Canyons, Los Angeles Pierce College, and Moorpark College. Students in the AIMS2 cohorts have access to special mentoring and advisement by faculty, tutoring and peer mentoring, social activities, field trips and opportunities to take part in undergraduate research projects. STEM Success engages Hispanic/underserved and low-income students in comprehensive, year-round programming dedicated to improving retention, persistence, and graduation of undergraduates in math and science disciplines at California State University, Stanislaus. STEM Success has a total of 692 individual students over the first four years of the grant.
