Student Spotlight: Denice Bailey
Seven years in the engineering industry and 1.5 years with the City of Seal Beach.
I am grateful to get to positively contribute to a community in which I love. Being the Project Manager on various Capital Improvement Projects throughout the City has been one of my most treasured accomplishments. Working in a small city I get to make personal connections with the residents which brings me joy.
I believe that receiving my Masters in Public Administration from my alma mater CSULB will give me the tools I need to make lasting change in this world. I look forward to utilize my education to make meaningful contributions in my community, in local government, and in international compassion projects. Getting to choose my electives such as Leadership Skills and Strategies as well as Grant Writing will help my personal and professional growth. Having my MPA will also help open the doors to become a Director or City Manager.
I have a passion for helping, the least of these by volunteering locally for the nonprofit Do Good Works Life and internationally with Manna Worldwide. One of the goals Do Good Works Life is to bring clean water to third world countries. I also love the Seattle Seahawks. Go Hawks!
