Dr. Jessica Z. Pandya Travels to Australia to Discuss Forthcoming Book

Published July 13, 2018

Dr. Jessica Zacher Pandya will be traveling to Australia in August to talk about her forthcoming book, Exploring Critical Digital Literacy Practices: Everyday Video in a Dual Language Context (Routledge, 2019). In her exploration of the everyday digital video-making practices of students in a dual language, under-resourced school, Pandya examines the ways children interrogate their worlds, the kinds of identities they craft, and the language and literacy learning practices that emerge from digital video production.

She will give talks about the book at Queensland University of Technology, the Learning Sciences Institute of Australia, and Deakin University. She will also participate in the Oceania Ethnography and Education Network (OEEN) annual conference in Melbourne.
