CSULB Commencement 2022: See how these grads are celebrating on social media

Published May 6, 2022

More than 11,000 California State University, Long Beach students will be taking home degrees this year, joining the 350,000-plus CSULB Alumni family.

Beach Graduates have been celebrating with inspirational posts on social media. For some students, the pandemic upended an in-person college experience.

"Even though I never attended CSULB in person, I’m grateful for my time in college and I’m thankful for my friends and family who supported me," political science graduate Alexis Williams said on Instagram.

For others, it's a bittersweet end of one chapter and a next step in the journey.

"I don’t know what my future holds but I know only great things will come," sociology graduate Luis Edgardo Alvarez said.

Graduation ceremonies will take place May 16 to 18 at Angel Stadium of Anaheim. Livestreams and ceremony information can be found on the CSULB Commencement website.
