Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE)

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is a national level board of education for public and private schools in India, controlled and managed by the Government of India. Under a pilot project a limited number of CSU campuses will accept CBSE class XII examinations toward general education credit. Each of the selected CSU campuses participating in the pilot determines how it will apply these examinations toward credit at their institution. California State University, Long Beach will begin awarding credit for some CBSE exams starting Fall 2025. For students not already certified in GE (General Education), the campus also determines how to apply credit from such exams toward the local degree requirement. Below is the list of approved 2024-25 CBSE curriculum by California State University, Long Beach for students applying for admission in academic year 2025-26.1
