U.S. Constitution Requirement
The California Commission on Teacher Credentialing requires candidates to complete a course (two semester units or three quarter units) in the provision and principles of the US Constitution or pass an examination given by a regionally accredited college or university.
Graduation from a college or university within the California State Colleges and University system continues to meet the requirement. At CSU, Long Beach these courses are Political Science 100, or Political Science 391.
Credential students may take the exam offered at one of the following universities and submit official proof of passing scores to the Credential Center, ED1-42.

- Notre Dame de Namur University - Offers an on-line timed examination consisting of 50 multiple choice questions. The cost is $85 and includes prep material, exam and certificate. For more information call Terrance Hanna at 650-508-3545 or email thanna@NDNU.edu
