The College of Education is honored to virtually recognize our 2020-21 scholarship recipients and the generous donors who supported these funding opportunities.

With many area students learning remotely, the Teacher Education Department in collaboration with the Community Clinic for Counseling and Educational Services

Noted Hispanic-Serving Institution (HSI) researcher, Dr. Gina Garcia (University of Pittsburgh) dedicated two days to the College of Education this fall focusing on the work of HSIs. In preparation for teaching in an alternative modality this fall, College of Education Single Subject Credential Program faculty led discipline-specific workshops for student teachers from the College’s secondary credential programs.

Each year, an eligible College of Education student is awarded the Dean's Endowed Student Teaching Scholarship, an award that supports a future teacher during their semester of student teaching.
