There are several peer mentor services across the university and College of Education. Below is a selection of peer mentorship groups dedicated to assisting CED students as they navigate their time on campus.  

There is a severe shortage of qualified science and math teachers nationwide, including physics. CSULB is credentialing and providing a pathway for existing teachers to add an authorization in physics, enabling them to teach the much-needed subject area.​

“Physics, like chemistry, math and special education, are always high-demand teaching areas. They are routinely rated as hard to staff areas by school districts,” says Dr. Laura Henriques, Professor of Science Education.

The College of Education welcomes Dr. Devery Rodgers, Assistant Professor, Educational Leadership. Dr. Rodgers is one of two new faculty members to join the College this fall!
