Congratulations and thank you to Mario Jaramillo, the winner of our diploma frame giveaway! Everyone who completed the 2023 College of Ed Exit Survey was entered into an opportunity drawing for a Classic Mahogany Diploma Frame.
Jaramillo just graduated with an educational specialist degree from our School Psychology program and now is embarking on a career as a school psychologist in Southern California.
“My post-graduate plans revolve around championing students' well-being and growth, both academically and personally, and supporting students to thrive not just within the school environment but also in their homes and community,” said Jaramillo, who received the college’s Outstanding Advanced Credential Student award for 2023.
The College of Ed surveyed recent graduates about their experience in 11 advanced credential or degree programs to enhance those programs for future students and inform decision-making. We reached 64% participation, far exceeding our goal of 55%.
Everyone who completed the survey was entered into an opportunity drawing for a diploma frame (valued at $179.95 each) generously donated by 49er Shops, the university bookstore.
We will have a second winner for a separate exit survey, the Liberal Studies Exit Survey.
“Sharing experiences in surveys like the CED Exit Survey helps the college understand different perspectives of the program and how enriching it was,” Jaramillo told us about his participation.
“By sharing my view, the college gains insight into how the program has provided extensive training and knowledge relevant to the field of school psychology, what worked for me, what may require more attention, and what changes can be made to benefit future students.”
