School Counseling alumna Bianca Sanchez (‘21) was recently selected as a 2021 California Association of School Counselors (CASC) Emerging Leader. The Emerging Leader program provides graduate counseling students and new professionals with experiences to support their development of leadership skills. Bianca expressed that “This is a huge honor and amazing opportunity to learn from the best of the best in the professional school counseling profession. Not only are the CASC board members amazing professional school counselors but they are advocating for the school counseling profession and for all students through their hard work. I am excited to continue to learn through the advocacy work CASC engages in, strengthen my school counseling and leadership skills, and be an active member in CASC.” Bianca has demonstrated her potential to become a dedicated leader throughout her time at CSULB and this program will continue to foster this as she enters the school counseling profession and for years to come.
