Jared Tanielu: College of Education Outstanding Liberal Studies Student

If you’ve walked by the College of Education’s Student Ambassador desk anytime over the past academic year, then it’s possible you’ve had a chance to say hi to Jared Tanielu.  A College of Education Student Ambassador, Tanielu served many hours working to share program information with new students, orient visitors to the College, and answer any general question that came his way. Graduating from the Liberal Studies program this past spring with his BA degree, Tanielu was also honored as the recipient of the College of Education Outstanding Liberal Studies Award. This recognition is reserved for a Liberal Studies student with outstanding academic performance and strong campus leadership.

In addition to working as a Student Ambassador, Tanielu worked at an area Boys and Girls Club, was a member of the Liberal Studies Student Association, Pilipino American Coalition and CSULB Men’s Club Water Polo. Tanielu also volunteered as a teachers’s aid in El Rancho School District.

Returning to the College of Education to earn his teaching credential is next up for Tanielu, as well as a trip to Europe for the Euro 2021 soccer tournament.
