Dr. Angela Locks to Mentor CED Alumna & CSU Chancellor’s Doctoral Incentive Program Fellow

Dr. Angela Locks will be mentoring College of Education (CED) alumna and Pennsylvania State University doctoral student Elyzza Aparicio who was awarded a CSU Chancellor’s Doctoral Incentive Program (CDIP) Fellowship. The Fellowship seeks to increase applications from outstanding doctoral students who wish to pursue faculty positions at CSU universities through mentorship with CSU faculty and financial support.

Aparicio is an alumna of the master’s program Student Development in Higher Education (SDHE) and former CSULB staff member who helped to create the Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program at the university. She was also recipient of the CSULB Graduate Research Fellowship for the College of Education (2014-2015), and is currently Bunton-Waller Fellow and evaluation team member of the Meyerhoff Scholars Program with Penn State as a replication site.
