CED Offers Career Technical Education Credential (Spotlight)

California State University, Long Beach is now approved to offer the Career Technical Education (CTE) Teacher Preparation Program. The CTE Credential is a program of study that integrates core academic knowledge with technical and occupational knowledge to provide students with a pathway to secondary education and careers.  

The university is currently offering an expedited route to the Preliminary CTE Credential for Multiple, Single, and Education Specialist teachers. Teachers with previous industry and teaching experience may be eligible to earn the credential.  Preliminary CTE Credential holders will be required to complete the online course: CTED 403A - Foundations of Career and Technical Education and obtain additional experience while holding the credential.  For more information and to see if you are eligible, please contact the Credential Center at (562) 985-4109 or visit the CTE website.
