Details of the Professional Excellence Award

• This award recognizes a student who has demonstrated excellent professional behavior and growth during their CSULB college experience. Applicants must document their achievements as a College of Business (COB) student and member of the Student Center for Professional Development (SCPD). Including activities on and off campus, and how the knowledge/skills gained from participation in SCPD programs enabled that professional behavior.
• Factors to be evaluated include participation in SCPD programs; active participation in professional organizations, with emphasis in leadership/board positions; a demonstrated effort to develop/improve professional skills and attributes; and obtaining an internship or part-time/full-time job.

• Applying for the Professional Excellence Award does not disqualify a student from applying to the Director's Award Scholarship.

Award: $1,000

• Winner will receive a $1,000 award and be recognized on the SCPD website and social media platforms.
