Details of the Director's Award

This award recognizes a student who has shown outstanding achievement and personal growth during their CSULB college experience. Applicants must document their achievements as a College of Business (COB) student and member of the Student Center for Professional Development (SCPD). Including activities on and off campus, and how the knowledge/skills gained from participation in SCPD programs enabled that personal growth.
Factors to be evaluated include academic success, leadership in student organizations/SCPD, participation in civic or volunteer activities, and achievements in other personal endeavors, certificates, licenses or awards earned.

Application
- Headshot Picture (this photo will be used on the SCPD website)
- Written Essay (Requirements: titled paper, 12-point font Times New Roman, 1-inch margin, double-spaced and no more than 3 pages long)
- Testimonials (optional)

- Testimonials from staff, faculty, mentors, employers, civic leaders, and business professionals will be helpful to the applicant’s case.
Applying for the Director's Award does not disqualify a student from applying to the Professional Excellence Award Scholarship.

Winner will receive a $1,000 award and be recognized on the SCPD website and social media platforms.
