October 1, 2014Welcome New Tenure-track Librarians!
We are pleased to welcome Chloé Pascual, Cynthia Mari Orozco, and Gabriel Gardner to University Library as tenure-track librarians.
You may see them working the Research & Information Desk or teaching instruction session in the library or around campus. Their other duties include pursuing research interests, committee service, and purchasing materials in their subject areas.
Chloé Pascual (MLS: San Jose State University, 2012; BA History: Smith College, 2005) is Archivist & Special Collections Librarian. Prior to joining University Library she worked in Student Financial Services at CSULB. Her research interests include metadata and access issues in archival collections.
Cynthia Mari Orozco (MLS: San Jose State University, 2011; MA Latin American Studies: San Diego State University, 2009; BA Political Science/BA Sociology: University of California Irvine, 2005) is the Student Services Librarian. Prior to joining University Library she worked for Loyola Marymount University. Her research interests include community archives and micro-aggressions in librarianship.
Gabriel J. Gardner (MLS: Indiana University Bloomington, 2011; BA Spanish: Elmhurst College, 2007) is the librarian for Romance, German, Russian Languages & Literatures and Linguistics. Prior to joining University Library he worked at University of Minnesota Duluth. His research interests include information seeking behavior and use.
