August 31, 2009Now Available: Order Media from LINK+ Partner Libraries!
In the ten years since the University Library joined the LINK+TM consortium CSULB students and faculty have benefitted enormously, borrowing thousands of books from partner libraries throughout California and Nevada and having them delivered quickly and efficiently to CSULB within 2-3 days.
The number of partner institutions has grown each year; it's now over 50.
The combined book collection has increased to nearly 9 million unique titles.
LINK+ always has been a great source for books that the library doesn't own, but now it's adding media to its bag of tricks. A select group of LINK+ member libraries have agreed to open their cd and dvd collections to partner libraries, and the expanded service has been operational since July of this year.
The process is the same as it is for books:
- Search COAST for a dvd, audiobook, or cd by title, composer, performer, subject, etc.
- If you don't see what you need, click on the button at the top of the screen to repeat the search in LINK+
- If you find an item you like in LINK+ click request and complete the online form to have it sent to CSULB and loaned to you for 7 days
