Claudia Salazar Jiménez, winner of el Premio de las Américas (The Americas Prize) for her novel La Sangre de la Aurora (2013) will lecture at CSULB on Monday, March 16th. Dr. Salazar Jiménez is professor of Spanish at Sarah Lawrence College and the founder and director of PeruFest: Festival of New Peruvian Cinema. Beginning at 4PM in PH1, room 140, she will speak on “Women and Images: Literary and Visual Representations of Women in the Context of the Armed Conflict in Peru”. This lecture is sponsored by the CLA Scholarly Intersections Grant, University Library, WGSS, RGRLL, and the Spanish Graduate Student Association.
