Services Provided
The dedicated Cal-SOAP team supports students' sense of belonging and confidence by providing a positive environment for learning and success. Together, we provide eligible students and their parents access to individual and group sessions related to:
- Preparing for college (e.g. choosing a college, selecting a major, etc.)
- FAFSA, financial aid, and financial literacy assistance
- CA Dream Act Application assistance
- Access to college fairs and college tours
- College application assistance
- College-Prep Summer Academies
- Career exploration and preparation
- Learning and success skills
Students must meet the following criteria in order to be eligible to receive Cal-SOAP services:
- Be a California elementary or secondary school student and
- Meet one or more of the following:
- Be low-income, or
- Be first in their family to attend college, or
- Be from a school or geographic region with documented low-eligibility or college going rates
