Meals Assistance Program

The Meals Assistance Program provides students that are food insecure and/or experiencing a student emergency access to several healthy and well-balanced meals in one of the three University Dining Commons (Parkside, Hillside, or Beachside). Speak with a case manager about the Meals Assistance Program.  


CalFresh Grocery Assistance Program

CalFresh is a nutrition assistance program that helps low-income individuals and families buy the food they need. The CalFresh Outreach Team guides the student through the application process. Formerly known as ‘food stamps,’ CalFresh is the name of the USDA-funded Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) in the state of California and connects eligible students with up to $291 per month to spend on groceries

CalFresh benefits can be used to purchase fresh, local, and healthy produce at grocery stores, markets, and farmer’s markets.

Food Pantry

The Laurén Chalmers '83 Beach Pantry operates as the official food pantry for CSULB students. The pantry provides food items for students in need. 


CSULB Mobile App: Beach Bites 

Beach Bites is a feature in the CSULB Mobile App that alerts students to available food from on-campus catered events and meetings.
