Geo Castillo Lopez
My name is Geo Castillo-Lopez (They/Them), and I’m excited to be celebrating almost one year as an academic advisor at CSULB COB. I earned a BA in Psychology and Chicana/o/x studies with a Minor in Education from UC Davis, and an M.S. degree in Higher Education Counseling and Student Affairs from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo in 2023. As a first-generation professional (former first-gen student), queer, and undocumented individual, I'm passionate about empowering students to reach their full potential and develop the skills necessary to thrive in all aspects of their lives and advocating for a more inclusive campus environment and society. Outside of work, I'm involved in community work, advocating for immigrants' rights and supporting my family's small business. Oh, and I love kites, black clothes, hanging out on a hammock, and dissecting music, ha-ha.
