Bold and ambitious, the Beach 2030 movement is characterized by actions that orient CSULB to the future, affirming our place as a national model for student access, upward mobility, and engagement across numerous disciplines.  

The No Barriers campaign, a $275 million fundraising effort to realize CSULB’s promise of a transformative education, bolsters the mission behind Beach 2030 through visionary opportunities to expand access to higher education.

A marginal lack of female representation in STEM and many other fields remains a challenge at many institutions – one with downstream consequences that lead to short fallen career growth, readiness, and access to post-grad job security for our female populations. Here at The Beach, we have worked extensively to change this narrative for the generations ahead.

A robust career and life preparation program, Think Beach strives to fortify our students into career-ready and future-thinking individuals by allowing young people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to enjoy a college-going experience at CSULB.

In the College of Business, this simple yet poignant motto serves as a clarion call by which its leaders aim to serve all students. For graduate programs, it’s been a guiding principle in reimagining how teaching and learning at CSULB can address the needs and strengths of today’s students.
