The Pointe Conference Center

An ideal setting for meetings, conferences, and receptions.
HRL Sunset Rm

This unique conference venue in the Walter Pyramid offers a perfect setting for banquets, receptions, celebrations and business meetings. Located in the northeast corner of the Walter Pyramid, the Pointe is a first-rate facility for conferences, banquets and receptions. The Gallery reception area provides a unique backdrop for each occasion.

The Pointe was brought to life in 1996 by two long held dreams by the Housing and Residential Life Office: creating an Educational Center for Residential Life programs and events, as well as providing a first-rate facility for banquets, receptions and conferences. Carved from an 8500 square foot triangle in the northwest corner of The Walter Pyramid, the elegantly curved wall and drop lighting along The Gallery reception area provides a unique backdrop for each occasion. The Pacific Sunset Room, with its 12-foot coffered ceiling provides banquet space for up to 200 people, theatre style seating for 300 or may be divided in half to meet the program needs of smaller programs. More intimate seminars and programs of 25-65 people may also be hosted in the warm atmosphere of the Frank Bowman Summit Room.

Room reservation rentals includes room arrangement of tables, chairs, built-in audio/visuals, and podium. We personalize this service by providing an attendant to assist you during your event.

The rental rate for the facility is established by the size of the group, the amount of time the facility will be utilized and whether or not the individual and/or group is affiliated with California State University, Long Beach. As each event is unique, rental rates will vary and will be quoted for each individual event. See our Rates & Capacity (PDF) for more information.
