Sam Vickovic’s main areas of specialization are correctional officer well-being, predictors of entrance into law enforcement careers, and the intersection of media, crime, and criminal justice systems. He uses both quantitative and qualitative methods within his research. Recent research projects include an examination of how negative perceptions of law enforcement has influenced whether individuals want to pursue a career in law enforcement and research on predictors of correctional officer turnover, job stress, and job satisfaction.
