Brenda Freshman

Brenda Freshman is a professor in the CSULB Department of Health Care Administration, and Internship Coordinator.  She has been a full-time faculty member in the Department since Fall 2007. From 1996-2006, Dr. Freshman served as a faculty member at the UCLA School of Public Health, training health care professionals in both managerial and leadership competencies.  

Dr. Freshman's research and practice interests concentrate on emotional intelligence, collaboration across disciplines, workforce development for an aging population, cultural competency, and how thoughts and emotions influence behavior, meaning, productivity, and legacy. She is a sought-after speaker and has been facilitating workshops on self-development and leadership skills since 1993.
