Students from the Industrial Design program - Jimmy Huynh, Brian Mar, Matthew Ulery, and Patrick Soriano received a $1,500 First Place award for their AquaCity Garden entry in this year’s Student “Living Product Challenge,” a new initiative of the Biomimicry Global Design Challenge, created inpartnership with the International Living Future Institute. The goal of the prize isto highlight designproducts that mimic nature’s design principles and function as elegantly as anything found in the natural world. The project began in David Teubner’s Design Methodology class and continued over to Steve Boyer’s studio in both the Fall 2015 and Spring 2016 semesters. CSULB Design Students have placed highly in this international competition for the past three years running.
