Winning with the second highest aggregate score in the competition’s history, the Bob Cole Chamber Choir swept all categories in which it competed. This win - at one of the world's most competitive and prestigious vocal competitions is reminiscent of last year’s outstanding win at the 2016 Choir of the World Competition at Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod in Llangollen, Wales. After winning the Choir of the World competition in their first-ever trip to the event last year, the Cole Conservatory Chamber Choir received the prestigious Pavarotti Trophy, and apparently used that trophy to inspire them for more “Best in the World” performances. Only 10 choirs were invited to compete at this year's gathering in Austria, and the Bob Cole Chamber Choir was the only American ensemble chosen to participate.
