Several of our students have been accepted into programs or have won awards and grants during the spring: Annika Gonzales, Demetria Eves, Jessica Rogado, Cyna Nguyen, and Miontranese Green.

The 2022 Spring Mixer took place on April 9 in Rush Park near campus in the form of a potluck. This was a much-needed social event to reconnect students with each other and the weather was just perfect for that.

The 2021 Holiday Mixer took place on December 19 in Dr. Chang's backyard in the form of a potluck. Folks brought their significant others to the party and all five freshly selected scholars were there to join the fun.

The METRIC program welcomed 17 students to the program on September 3, 2021 in Camp Fire Long Beach with series of low-rope team-building activities.

The 2021 Spring mixer took place on Saturday, March 27 on Zoom. The time was filled with students sharing their graduation and summer plans as well as struggles they have experienced this semester and how they overcome them.

The 2020 Holiday Mixer took place on December 18 on Zoom. The CoVID-19 pandemic gave us an unexpected opportunity to reunite with alumni who are afar.

The 2020 Fall Welcome orientation took place on Saturday, September 19 on Zoom. A total of 12 students and 6 faculty members participated this virtual event.

The 2020 Port of Long Beach Tour took place on Saturday, March 7 in the City of Long Beach's harbor. A total of 9 students and 2 faculty members took a guided boat tour of the port.

The 2019 Family Mixer took place on December 6 at the Anatol Center on campus. More than 40 family and friends of the METRIC students joined for a night of celebration and fun. 

The METRIC program welcomed 16 students to the program on September 6, 2019 in Camp Fire Long Beach with series of low- and high-rope challenge courses.
